Rigor Mortis (2012)

In this eerie and chilling, contemporary, action/special effects laden homage to the classic Chinese vampire movies of the 1980’s, writer-director-producer, Juno Mak makes his feature directorial debut. Co-produced by J-Horror icon Takashi Shimizu, and reuniting some of the original cast members of the classic Mr. Vampire series, RIGOR MORTIS is set in a creepy and moody Hong Kong public housing tower whose occupants we soon discover, run the gamut from the living to the dead, to the undead, along with ghosts, vampires and zombies.

Rigor Mortis was showcased at the Hong Kong International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival (Midnight Madness section), Sitges Film Festival (Official Fantàstic Competition) in 2013.

In 2014, the film was also presented at The New York Asian Film Festival, London Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, Rotterdam International Film Festival, Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival, Fantasporto – Oporto International Film Festival, Udine Far East Film Festival, Fantasia International Film Festival.
